NIUS Chemistry Programme Batch XIX

Applications are invited for NIUS Chemistry Camp – Batch XIX from Second year undergraduate students with chemistry as one of the subjects/paper pursuing B.Sc./B.Sc. with Honors/Integrated M.Sc./BS-MS with minimum 60% marks or equivalent both in their Class X and Class XII examinations.
The camp will be held at HBCSE from December 21 – 30, 2023. This year the camp will be organized for 2nd year students only.
The camp aims at presenting vibrant academic exposure about different areas of chemistry through theoretical sessions and workshops related to reading research papers, understanding concepts in given area of chemistry using the guided inquiry approach, planning of experiments etc. A special focus of camp would be understanding experiments, their design, procedural understanding, data analysis, and meaningful conclusions. The camp will help students to enhance their self-learning abilities and will give participants a fresh perspective about chemistry and its learning.

The list of selected students will be uploaded on the NIUS website (https://nius.hbcse.tifr.res.in/) on November 6, 2023.
Selected outstation students will be reimbursed to and fro travel fare (maximum III-AC train fare). Food
and accommodation in the HBCSE Hostel will be provided to all students during the camp.
