National Initiative on Undergraduate Science (NIUS) BIOLOGY – 2026
Announcement for Batch 2026
NIUS (Biology) programme is designed to provide extended nurture and guidance to undergraduate students in Biology. It is an opportunity for students to get early exposure to research environment, beginning from first year of their graduation. The process begins with an initial exposure camp organized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, Mumbai.
Applications are invited for NIUS (BIOLOGY) December 2026 batch from first year undergraduate students of any stream of Biology (B.Sc./ Int. M.Sc.) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grades in their Class X and Class XII examination. Applications are to be made ONLINE using the link given.
The camp will be held from 01st December – 10th December,2026 at HBCSE, Mumbai. This camp will be an exposure and enrichment camp in the various areas of biology.

The list of selected students will be uploaded on this website by the evening of 30th October, 2026.
Please note that this is a preliminary nurture camp. Participation in this camp does not guarantee further selection as a NIUS project student.
