NOTICE FOR NIUS (PHYSICS) 2022, Batch 19, Camp 19.1
The first NIUS (Physics) camp 19.1 will be held in TWO PARTS during December 2022 and January 2023 for all the selected undergraduate students. Every selected student is expected to attend both the parts of the camp.
This camp will be an exposure and enrichment camp where several scientists/teachers will offer short courses (online + offline) on core topics in physics. There will also be a 30-hour offline laboratory course based on the “Experimental Problem Solving”. In addition, there will be project related and enrichment lectures (online + offline).
The first part of the camp 19.1, will be held in-person / offline at HBCSE, Mankhurd, Mumbai from Thursday, December 29, 2022 to Wednesday, January 4, 2023. (as per the COVID-19 guidelines and HBCSE office orders).
The second part of the camp 19.1 will be held in ONLINE mode on zoom platform on January 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2023. (only on Saturdays and Sundays). The selection tests will be held online on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
The projects will be allotted to the selected students before March 15, 2023 and selected students can work on the project under the supervision of their preferred mentor during the subsequent camps starting from Summer 2023.
The detailed schedule of the camp will be made available on the NIUS website on December 28, 2022.
Students who will have to write their semester examinations during the period of the camp should inform the NIUS (Physics) office by an email.
