Announcement -Batch XVIII
Hybrid mode

Applications are invited for hybrid (online-cum-offline) NIUS Chemistry Camp – Batch XVIII from Second year undergraduate students with chemistry as one of the subjects/paper pursuing B.Sc./B.Sc. with Honors with minimum 60% marks or equivalent both in their Class X and Class XII examinations. Applications from integrated/dual degree programme will not be considered.

The online sessions are likely to be held either towards end of November and/or mid- December (exact dates will be announced by November first week). The dates of the offline camp at HBCSE will be from December 23-27, 2022. Due to pandemic, there are several changes in college admission processes and academic schedules and thus, this year the camp will be organized for 2nd year students only. The student participants of the camp will not be offered any projects as a part of NIUS chemistry programme.

The camp aims at presenting vibrant academic exposure about different areas of chemistry through theoretical sessions and workshops related to reading research papers, understanding concepts in given area of chemistry using the guided inquiry approach, planning of experiments etc. The offline sessions will focus on experimental domain and the lab work will be group activities. The camp will help students to enhance their self-learning abilities and will give participants a fresh perspective about chemistry and its learning.

Selected outstation students will be reimbursed to and fro travel fare (maximum III-AC train fare). Food and accommodation in the HBCSE Hostel will be provided to all students.
